Cindy Schlafmann has an enduring passion for her profession. After a comprehensive assessment of each new patient, she creates a highly individualized treatment program to address their functional deficits, working closely with the patient to achieve their goals. Most of all, she consistently strives to make wellness a pivotal part of every patient’s treatment plan, enthusiastically encouraging an active lifestyle.
After her B.S. degree from South Dakota State University, Cindy graduated from Mayo School of Health Related Sciences Program in Physical Therapy in 1990. She then earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Regis University graduating in 2011.
An active athletic trainer and coach at the scholastic level, and USAT Level 1 certified triathlon coach, Cindy is also Board Certified in Sports through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties, focused on runners, triathletes and cyclists, with significant experience in return to sport rehabilitation.
Even with all her professional accomplishments, Cindy manages to “walk the walk” in extraordinary fashion: the Ironman Wisconsin 4 times, more than 100 other triathlons, several half marathons, and numerous mountain bike races.
