Dan was born in Galveston, Texas and lived a military brat lifestyle moving to Michigan, New York, Washington, Wisconsin, and finally Minnesota before settling down in the Twin Cities. He attended the University of Minnesota Twin Cities for his undergrad in Physiology and then received his DPT from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. After graduating, Dan returned to the Twin Cities to begin his career. It took him some time to find his footing in PT having worked in acute care, home health, outpatient pediatrics, SNF, and inpatient rehab before finding his passion in outpatient orthopedics. Dan spent 2 years working as a travelling PT with girlfriend Brittany, living between in Seattle and Portland, while enjoying the freedom to travel the country and the world. A few highlights of these travel were Banff, Victoria BC, Thailand, and Iceland.
Dan is happy to be back home in the Twin Cities and to have found a position with Orthology; a place that shares his values and treatment preferences. “Every day I appreciate getting to come to work with my amazing co-workers and make a difference in each of my patients lives. I find a lot of joy in helping people who have been everywhere else, and finally find relief with us. I particularly enjoy treating, neck pain, back pain, and knee pain, having dealt with it during my years running track.”
When not working, Dan enjoys climbing at the Minneapolis Bouldering project, weight training, hiking, traveling, and eating.
