Melissa Hennes has a sincere passion for helping others return to their favorite activities after an injury.
As a former dancer, she especially enjoys working with other performers, from ballet to jazz to enthusiasts of all ages. That commitment also applies to endurance athletes. In fact, she is currently developing a comprehensive “return to run” program with the Northwestern Health Sciences University Gait Lab.
Melissa’s process is steadfast: she provides a thorough assessment and truly individualized care to ensure a successful, sustained recovery for every musculoskeletal injury. Given her background, she maintains a particular focus on any lower extremity injury, especially hips and ankles, crucial to both dancers and triathletes.
Melissa graduated from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Prior to her doctoral degree, Melissa received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University, graduating in the top 10% of her class.
Melissa enjoys the outdoors–hiking, biking, and working on her new house. She also likes to spend her free time catching up with family and friends.
