Sarah Nohrenberg has one piece of healthy advice for patients: get moving! Of course she says this as a professional caregiver–not like a drill sergeant!
Sarah herself has always been on the move. Originally from Cottage Grove, Minnesota, Sarah stayed close to home for her education, doing her undergraduate work in the Athletic Training Program as part of the Department of Kinesiology at St. Cloud State. She followed her passion and kept moving forward professionally, recently completing her DPT at Concordia University in St. Paul. Sarah has traveled so far in her career, while staying local.
To get moving, you have to be motivated. And “motivated” is the first word friends and family choose to describe Sarah. Whether hiking outdoors with her dog, lifting weights at the gym, or doing the work that inspires her at Orthology, Sarah stays committed to her primary goal in treatment. She says it best herself: “To help others with their recovery from injury so that they may return to doing the activities of their daily life that they enjoy and love.” Right on the money, Sarah!
So whether it’s going on a hike, checking Fitbit, or picking up the latest news from BuzzFeed, Sarah is on the go. She lives—moves— in the moment. But what drives her is something far richer than the ephemeral. She is immersed in the recovery process of her patients, first and foremost, and honored by their trust in her to see them through. She’s a caregiver for the long haul, at home and on the move.
