Alina Prescornita works at the Orthology Columbus circle location, she believes in a comprehensive physical therapy treatment approach by emphasizing proper body mechanics, postural body control and rehabilitation exercises. She utilizes a more hands-on methodology and is experienced in optimizing patients’ recovery and performance through the use of trigger point release and Kinesio Taping techniques. Alina also incorporates a background of yoga and Pilates to enhance her strong manual therapy skills.
Alina received a full merit scholarship for a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Bacau in Romania and has since obtained her licensure to practice as a physical therapist in New York. She earned a Pilates Comprehensive Mat Certification at the Kane School in New York City and is currently completing her Pilates Equipment Training Certification.
Alina believes in giving back and has been involved with the nonprofit group Back on My Feet. Back on My Feet is a national nonprofit which uses running as a tool to help disadvantaged individuals.
Throughout her extensive travel around the world, Alina has always believed in the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle. She enjoys cycling and nature photography and is fluent in Romanian.
