An Integrative Sports Medicine Physician, Dr. Eric J. Rosenbaum, M.D. brings an extraordinary depth of accomplishment and wide-ranging interests to Orthology. In addition to his education and experience, this genuine “Renaissance man” is a welcome complement to the already impressive roster of providers in our Manhattan clinics.
Dr. Rosenbaum is Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Board Certified in Holistic Medicine, a diplomat of Functional Medicine and is a Certified Acupuncturist.
He graduated from Yale in 1990. He then earned his M.D. from The Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and completed his Residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Harvard Medical School.
In tandem with his work at Orthology, he serves as Chief Medical Officer for Gourmet Daily, in charge of meal design, medical condition specific menus, and a supplement line.
Previously, he was a partner at Medical Associates, in NYC. He was in charge of Sports Medicine, Spine Care, Nutrition, Weight Loss, Functional Medicine, Meditation and Acupuncture. He focused on the total health transformation of patients through appropriate combinations of Eastern and Western Medicine.
In managing neck, back, shoulder, knee and joint pain and injuries he is proficient in the appropriate use of physical therapy, supplementation, diet, interventional spine care, joint and soft tissue injections, platelet rich plasma, diagnostic and interventional ultrasound guided injections and electromyography. Ideally, he gets you back in top form without corticosteroids and without the use of most traditional pain medications.
His outside interests include earning a Black Belt in Karate as a teen, rowing Crew at Yale, and then joining the Rugby Club. He twice ran the NYC Marathon. He sits week-long silent meditation retreats and enjoys organic gardening.
Fun fact: he was lead singer in a punk rock band in college!
