Ryan McKeough believes that understanding each patient’s unique experiences and personal story is critical to the recovery process. A competitive athlete himself, Ryan’s own injury made him realize the profound and positive impact of physical therapy. His approach focuses on manual therapy techniques combined with exercise prescription and corrective strategies (Kinesio taping and biofeedback devices) to achieve goal oriented results.
Born in Nova Scotia, Ryan spent his formative years wrestling, running, and playing football and rugby. He won multiple wrestling titles before transitioning into coaching. Graduating with honors from Acadia University with B.S. in Kinesiology, he relocated to Australia, completing a Master of Physiotherapy degree at the University of Canberra.
During his time in Australia, Ryan treated elite martial artists, triathletes and Olympic swimmers. He also worked with Australian Rules Football and Rugby Union clubs. True to his Canadian roots, he joined the Melbourne Mustangs Ice Hockey Club, and his proactive approach to injury prevention helped them win their first championship.
Ryan enjoys going to the gym, playing guitar, and telling anyone who will listen that it’s the Montreal Canadians’ year to win the Stanley Cup!
